On February 15, shortly after 5 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash in the 200 block of Beans Cove Road in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Rescue 3 responded with 6 personnel.

The week of June 23rd proved to be the departments best year of fire camp since starting the program in 2023. Class III started and finished with 31 students. This was also the first year that camp sold out. The sell out came within 72 hours of opening registration.

Two separate incidents within a hour of each other Tuesday morning kept the department busy. The first incident was dispatched for a working auto fire on interstate 68 westbound just prior to exit 45 on Box 0401. Last week BRFD hosted the areas first Jr Fire Camp. The camp that ran Monday June 26th - Friday June 30th from 830am - 330pm graduated 24 young boys and girls aged 9-14 last week.

Bedford Road FD is proud to announce our first Jr Firefighter camp. The camp will be held Monday through Friday starting June 26th and ending June 30th from 830am - 330pm daily. The camp will be limited to 30 participants ages 9-14, to sign up, use the signup genius link provided. Registration will only be open until Friday June 2nd unless all spots fill prior to that date.

Shortly after 1pm on 3/16/23 BRFD was alerted to assist Bedford Fire Department with a brush fire on Wertz Rd in Colerian Township on Box 3105. Brush 3 responded and assisted with exposure protection and mop up, Chief 31 estimated the fire to be just over 16.5 acres.
