Rescue Company responds to MVC with Entrapment in Rawlings

On Monday evening just after 9:30pm Allegany County 911 center dispatched the rescue box to the 19200 block of McMullen Hwy on box 4703 for a personal injury accident. Station 3 responds to Working Auto Fire & MVC with 1 trapped

Two separate incidents within a hour of each other Tuesday morning kept the department busy. The first incident was dispatched for a working auto fire on interstate 68 westbound just prior to exit 45 on Box 0401. Rescue Engine 4, Tanker 4 (Baltimore Pike) and Engine Tanker 3 (Bedford Rd) responded and extinguished a well involved auto, Assistant Chief 4 (Hout) held the I68 command. BRFD Host of Areas 1st Jr Fire Camp

Last week BRFD hosted the areas first Jr Fire Camp. The camp that ran Monday June 26th - Friday June 30th from 830am - 330pm graduated 24 young boys and girls aged 9-14 last week.

Jr Firefighter Camp Set for June

Bedford Road FD is proud to announce our first Jr Firefighter camp. The camp will be held Monday through Friday starting June 26th and ending June 30th from 830am - 330pm daily. The camp will be limited to 30 participants ages 9-14, to sign up, use the signup genius link provided. Registration will only be open until Friday June 2nd unless all spots fill prior to that date.

Rescue Company Extricates 3 on US 220

On Thursday April 20th around 1400 hours, BRFD and surrounding departments were dispatched to the intersection of US Route 220N and Bedford Road on box F0305H for a MVC with injuries. Brush responds to Bedford Brush Fire

Shortly after 1pm on 3/16/23 BRFD was alerted to assist Bedford Fire Department with a brush fire on Wertz Rd in Colerian Township on Box 3105.
