On Thursday July 20, 2023 Bedford Road FD & Baltimore Pike FD were alerted for a tractor trailer fire on Interstate 68 Eastbound near the 45 MM on Box F0401. ET3 with 5 personnel responded, arriving on scene to find a well involved refrigerated trailer well involved & the incident closer to mile maker 44, within the city limits. ET3 crew stretched a 200' crosslay and had the fire knocked within 2 minutes of arrival. Engine 1 (Cumberland) arrived and assisted with a second line to assist with extinguishment. RE4 (Baltimore Pike) assisted with water supply and DC4 held I68 command. Units operated for just over an hour before clearing.
