The Rescue Squad determined the severity of injuries and began working to extricate the driver of vehicle 1, Engine 32 arrived and split crews and assisted the Rescue Company with completing the extrication of vehicle 1 and the rest of the crew began working on a tie-back system off the front of Engine 32 to stabilize vehicle 2 to “flap the roof” & remove both patients. Both companies performed the extrications in under 15 minutes of arrival utilizing our HURST jaws of life hydraulic tools. Engine 41 (Baltimore Pike) assisted with the extrication of vehicle 2.
